Duke Ellington’s storied residency at the infamous Cotton Club has become one of the enduring legends of jazz. In the grand tradition of Ellington and his Cotton Club Orchestra, the Parker Jazz Club House Band holds court at our own live jazz hotspot in downtown Austin. On weekends, the Parker House Band presents selections from the Great American Songbook—the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century—our longstanding ensemble breathing life into already phenomenal, historical music. With pianist Ryan Davis, bassist Ben Triesch, drummer Jeremy Bruch, and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Kris Kimura, improvisation is king.
